TTV has collaborated with Marathongruppen, Sweden’s largest arranger of running events, since 2016. We have produced everything from commercials and live broadcasts to highlight films and social media clips – all with the goal of painting a positive picture of Marathongruppens work, raising awareness about the events, and getting runners excited to sign up.

The Lone Runner

During the run-up to the 2017 Stockholm Marathon we produced the official Stockholm Marathon film. The vision was to show what makes the Stockholm Marathon unique, the atmosphere, and that even though you run through the middle of town you are always near nature and the water. At the same time the goal was to encourage more runners to sign up.

We developed the concept of the Lone Runner, who we followed on training runs through empty streets and then during the race on streets lined with a cheering audience.

The result was a 33% increase in early registrations for the race!

STHLM Apocalypse

2019 was the height of zombie hype in the media, Marathongruppen arranged STHLM Apocalypse, a different (to say the least) type of marathon where runners had to escape from hungry zombies, avoid burning car wreckage, and try to not slip in pools of fake blood.

TTV produced the highlight film that was seen by thousands. Check it out!

Egentid

Marathon training requires a huge time investment. With the campaign Egentid, we wanted to show that this time isn’t just training, it’s an opportunity to de-stress and just have some time for yourself.

The campaign consisted of a long film in which we follow four different people through their stressful everyday lives but also when they disconnect and are simply there for themselves.

This film was then divided up into short sequences that were used as pre-rolls on YouTube as well as other platforms.

Jag springer för

There are as many reasons to run as there are people who run. For Tjemilen, we developed the concept #jagspringerför. One hopes that training would be easy and accessible for everyone, but it doesn’t feel that way for many women. They’re afraid to train alone, or at night, or to run with headphones on.

In the commercial “Jag springer för” we interviewed many women who told us why they run and blended their genuine voices with images of strong women who dared to get out there and run.

Runners in bars getting drinks

The Stockholm Half Marathon takes a different approach – they’re after a younger, more urban target audience. To that end, Marathongruppen partnered with award-winning celebrity bartender Emil Åreng and TTV Media developed the concept “Runners in bars getting drinks” in which Emil created one of a kind cocktails based on the runners he met in his bar.

Over the course of several short episodes we learned what drives the runners while getting inspired by really good cocktails

Highlight films and live broadcasts since 2016

Since 2016, TTV Media has produced highlight films for just about all of Marathongruppen’s races. With lean and efficient teams we capture the feeling of the race, before, during, and after. These highlight films are edited and released within days after the race, sharing great memories for everyone who ran. The material from these films can also be used later for ad campaigns or when registration opens for upcoming races.

In addition to highlight films we have also produced live broadcasts for several Marathongruppen events such as the Swedish Marathon Championship.
